Daniel Gent

This series of work represents a study into the Chapel at the University of Chichester. Although based upon the architecture of the Chapel, the geometry and directness of the models provide an almost abstract quality, giving the work a tangibility and presence. The work is influenced by Modernism and the architectural style of post-war Britain while examining themes of scale, perspective and iconography. The simplicity and ethereal nature of the work allows for space and encourages the imagination to explore notions of lived experience and personal interpretation.
