Access

The Novium Museum has a lift and is fully accessible for wheel chair users and visitors with disabilities.

A hearing loop is also available upon request at Reception. Registered guide dogs are permitted in the museum. Baby changing facilities are also available.

Assistance Dogs

We understand that some visitors will require the support of an assistance dog and we are happy to admit appropriately trained assistance dogs.

Dog owners should bring their Assistance Dogs UK (ADUK), Assistance Dogs International (ADI) or the International Guide Dog Federation (IGDF) identification book and show this to staff on arrival.

Assistance dogs should be supervised and kept under your control throughout your visit, remaining on a lead and be identifiable as working, for instance, wearing the appropriate tabard or harness.

Owing to the nature of our site and taking into consideration other visitors and the collections being exhibited in our museum, if your assistance dog is not registered with ADUK, ADI or IGDF, please contact us ahead of your visit by telephone 01243 775888 or email thenovium@chichester.gov.uk. We'll ask you to provide evidence confirming that your dog has been trained as an assistance dog by a recognised handler.

Due to the nature of our collections on display and for safety reasons, we are only able to welcome trained assistance dogs. No other animals are permitted in the museum.
